Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) forms part of the LoomCAD Terms of Service. Capitalized terms have the meanings in the Terms.
1. General rules
You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with the Terms and this AUP.
You must not:
- violate any applicable law or regulation;
- infringe intellectual property rights, trade secrets, or confidentiality obligations;
- upload malware, spyware, or other harmful code;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts, projects, or data;
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service;
- disrupt or overload the Service (including via automated means);
- bypass paywalls, quotas, rate limits, or access controls;
- use the Service for fraud, impersonation, or deception.
2. Prohibited content
You must not upload, store, transmit, or publish content that is:
- unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or obscene;
- deceptive or fraudulent;
- containing personal data of others without a lawful basis;
- containing confidential or proprietary information you are not authorized to disclose;
- containing credentials, secrets, or API keys (except in designated secure settings intended for Provider Credentials).
3. AI usage rules
3.1 No jailbreaks or policy evasion
You must not attempt to circumvent AI safety controls, provider policies, or restrictions through prompt manipulation, jailbreaks, or similar techniques.
3.2 Community/Open models: strict prohibition on sensitive inputs
If you use Community/Open models, you must not submit:
- confidential or proprietary business information;
- personal data (unless strictly necessary and lawful, and you accept the disclosure risk);
- sensitive personal data (health, biometrics, etc.);
- export-controlled or regulated technical data (ITAR/EAR/controlled);
- classified information;
- credentials, secrets, or API keys.
3.3 Verification requirement
You must independently verify AI outputs before using them in designs, manufacturing documentation, compliance submissions, or safety-critical decisions.
3.4 No abusive automation
You must not use the Service to run high-volume automated AI requests that degrade the Service or violate provider terms.
4. Scripts and sandboxed execution
The Service may allow you to run scripts in a sandbox.
You must not:
- attempt to escape the sandbox, access unauthorized resources, or exploit vulnerabilities;
- create scripts intended to damage projects, corrupt data, or disrupt systems;
- run scripts that intentionally consume excessive resources (CPU/memory/time) to degrade Service performance.
5. Public content, libraries, and third-party restrictions
If you publish content:
- you must ensure you have the right to publish and license it;
- you must not publish proprietary third-party libraries, CAD models, datasheets, or catalog data in violation of their licenses or usage terms (including supplier or competitor proprietary materials);
- you must not use public projects/libraries for spam, advertising, or deceptive promotion.
6. Export controls and regulated data
You must not upload or process regulated technical data (including ITAR/EAR-controlled data) unless explicitly permitted under a separate Enterprise agreement.
7. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and take action including:
- removing content;
- limiting features;
- suspending or terminating accounts.
